If you have cash burning a hole in your pocket, then do it. Oh the tools I could buy with a grand. Hmm, I'll have that next week in fact.

Unfortunately, I've got to side with your "good" voice. A grand for a complete turbo kit is an awesome deal, and I'm sure you'd love it, but if you bought the Regal specifically to be a lower-power, transmission-hugging DD, adding a turbo isn't going to help. You'd probably end up buying yet another GM in a few years because the Regal got too fast.

Easy now. The engine that can warp time was cracking transmissions at 3/4 throttle.

I'd say go for it. From what I have heard, a turbo 3800 is easier on a transmission than a supercharged 3800, simply because the power increase is more steady. Its not instantaneous. That, and absence of parasitic loss should have you getting better fuel economy as well.

That'* true, yes, you won't be spinning a supercharger all the time. The exhaust flow spinning a turbine is actually not as terrible for gas mileage. Plus, it'* amazing! If you choose not to go with a turbo, then please fix that transmission and go for a ride in the car.

I remember Ben telling me his car ran a 13.1 1/4 mile on stock tires, stock everything except rockers and the turbo. He even spun the tires and couldn't get a good launch.
