Transmission Autopsy! Finally ;) --->NOW WITH PICTURE<
So jr's3800 has me crawling under my car for the first time since the trans went boom to measure my front and rear swaybars and spring diameters. As I jack it up, green leaks out (top end torn down, no surprise), but PINK leaks out too. I squirmy under there with the calipers and flashlight and what do I discover.....
The differential is cracked ALL THE WAY AROUND the entire circumference on the passenger side output end, about 4" in from the bearing. ALL the way around. Basically, the case seperated. Looks like an exploded output shaft on the right side.
But the car drove fine for about a day after it happened, which means I only had power to the left wheel.
Pics sometime this weekend.

Any sign of a replacement?
Bastard.
Hell, I could follow the trail 2 WEEKS later. It took alot of rain to clean the parking lot at work
Trans is still in the works, but I obviously no longer have a core
Patent money coming soon, Mike
But I have to get the top end put back together first.
