Anyone know any proven trans shops around the SE Michigan area? Put a junk yard one in last summer and it'* already shifting funny. Gonna just get it rebuilt to avoid this again. If it'* too much, just gonna go to Intense.

There'* a great shop on the south side of Flint. I plan on using them for our 99 when the time comes.

Have already used him for the tranny in my 97 Chevy p/u. Also used him for the rear end rebuild in the same truck.

Name is Mel'* Transmission on Maple Rd. in Flint. Been around FOREVER. Well known in the area. Does great work.

I'm not sure if he'* a performance builder. If your goal is reliable with no modifications, he'd be your man.

3 years ago, it was on my first 90 SSE. i put 60k miles on it after that trans, and i dont knwo if it would've last longer, due to the car had a electrical fire and i junked it

roseville transmission. 12 or 13 mile and gratiot. they did the trans in my goat.
