Trans Fluid. l change question
I use a full synthentic (Redline), and havent had any slipping issues. At times the tranny temp hits 215* in the summer. SHouldnt be a problem though being that this tranny is only 3 months old & is rated for 900HP.
I also use Amsoil 5w/30 in the engine. I switched at about 119,000 miles, and did get a slight drip from the worn seals around the oil filter.

Nytro, you're lucky. You have the last year of the Factory installed trans cooler. I'd still suggest adding another, or replacing that one with a larger one. That'* a helluva investment to protect. It'll also help control the engine temps when you have your lead foot planted firmly on the Loud pedal.
I question how good mine is working or if at all. Is there any way to test it? The metal lines that go into the small radiator are rusted and cracked a little.
I might look into replacing it with a larger one instead of fixing the lines. I was looking at them a coupla months ago, they dont seem too expensive. I'm not aloud to spend any more money on my car until after Christmas & i get everything installed that i have bought already for it.

Email or PM me if you're considering this. I just did it about 3 months ago.

Soooo...If my engine regularly runs in the 200-220 range...that'* not good, huh?? It was running hotter, like 220-240, but I noticed that my fans were not coming on, and now I just run my ECC no matter what. Hmmm...
My Engine temps always run 190°, unless it'* a really hot day. My trans runs 190° on a cool, level road. It climbs to 200° in hilly terrain, regardless of outside temp, and on extreme mountain passes, has reached 230°.
It would be 'cool' if someone installed a trans temp gauge before adding an extra cooler. I wish I had.

If they ever get some A-piller pods made for the +00'*, I'd throw in a tranny temp guage in. Don't plan on getting a cooler till next summer, so maybe I'll be that guy Willwren.
I'd love to see that, Taylor. Even the 4T65 trans should have the same heat characteristics as the 4T60. They're not that much different. A good before and after would be invaluable. I even thought about putting a bypass valve on my aftermarket cooler that I could switch back and forth to collect data.......hmmmmmm......
