But im just trying to figure how to jack the car up high enough and also how to support it.
iv never seen or done a trans removal form under the car.

Put the car up on stands in the garage, pull the cover off the ssei and go to town removing the dead tranny, you got two cars so I wouldnt think your out of luck, attempt the swap yourself even if it takes a few weeks, its not as if the ssei is a porsche that cant be driven in snow or rain, best of luck, it seems you have alot of connections from other members here that can help guide your way, if you do it do a writeup it will make the project alot better, ( I followed your guide on the suspension stuff that helped a ton)
Good luck with the tranny

You can support the car at the Very rear point of the subframe, right where the Bolts and washers for the subframe are..
You will need a Couple of floor jacks and a couple of nice boards..
You can support the engine with one floor jack and Mess with the trans on the other..
There are bolts on the top rear of the subframe that have to be removed, Then there are 3 more on the passenger side of the front subframe, and the 1 large one at the front on the drivers side.. But you will have to have the Trans front mount unbolted..Also remove the cotter key and Castle nut from the Ball joint, and drop the control arm from the knuckle.. The Section of Subframe will just fall out..
The we will move on... lol
There is a little more to it... But you get the idea

cool, thanks don. I just get scared and worried a lot when taking on something this big when iv never done it by my self and dont have someone next to me that has done it.
But i guess now that i just have the $250 to spend on the trans i could use the other 200-250 to buy some things that will make it a lot easier to do this. like another good floor jack and some taller jack stands
Don, Boosty, others i have phone numbers for... suspect a few phone calls over the next few weeks

Yup, dont worry, ill make sure mines all charged up
This week im going to work on clearing more out of the Garage and also get the two Propain tanks filled for my heater
also im going to see about getting something to cover the roof(rafters) in my garage to keep it warming while im out then so i dont have to keep the heater running all the time.

Run the heater more and keep the airflow. A buddy and I did what you are suggesting with plastic sheeting. The fumes do accumulate too quickly.
