Default Trans damage

Remember I said my 97' was going into OD at 32 mph. Well, i've been doing a lot of city driving and now going on the highway it seems to hold gears when gaining speed and seems to flare a little before shifting. When it shifts it looses speed when it flares like this. I remember they changed the fluid before I bought the car. Well, today I checked the fluid and it was in the bottom part of the grid. Which means the dumba$$es didn't fill it up all the way. If this is the cause of my problems do you think I have damage? Should I fill it and see what happens or just let it go and get a new tranny with my warrenty. I want to mod bet the trans conserns me.

You're only one pint low. Not enough to cause damage. That'* where mine sits right now after another emergency flush. I'll top it off, but not until tomorrow.
