Default tranny flush

how much does the average mechanic charge for one. also would this prolong the life of my tranny? theres nothin wrong with it now.but id like to do all i can to keep it running.from what ive gathered the engine in these cars is very close to indestructable but the trans is another story.

A FLUSH will cost you about 80-100. A fluid change and filter may be 36-40, but will only get a third of your fluid. If you really want to do it right, have them FLUSH first, then change the filter and add the 1/3 back in.

Ya, I paid $89 for a total tranny service, flush-filter etc. Worth it for every 80 000km or 50 000 miles.

Yeah, last time I was at the dealership I had a coupon to get a bunch of stuff done. It was a 35.99 flush but then I got suckered into having other things done. Oil change, coolant flush, and a few other things. I should find that receipt, but I remember it was a FLUSH not a change because it took all day to get the car back.

so completely flushing it, adding all new fluid, and a new filter would be like 100 bucks?
