Mine is the bottom one. The top one is for the SE, but your exhaust may prevent you from using it. That'* the only diff between those two hitches. Which exhaust you have. Is yours a bigass muffler mounted transverse?

I'm not sure how your tips are.....they may interfere. Before you order, I need to put the back of my car up on ramps and shoot a pic of my installation. That may help you visualize it.

This is the ONLY hitch I've found for an SSE or SSEi, and I looked everywhere. The SE hitches are fairly easy to find.

Cool now where to get it and are they difficult ot install?
Try U-Haul... Their hitches are fairly reasonably priced , and they install them too. They also install wiring as well. I worked there years ago, and they have the facility and the proper tools to do it right. I had them install a hitch on my wife'* Jeep last year, no problems at all. Let them have the headaches of installing it.

By the way, I think you have to go to an actual U-Haul center. I do not believe you can get them installed at the dealers where you would go to rent a truck. Check on www.uhaul.com to see if there is one in your area.

I went that route when I was looking for a hitch. U-haul was a no-go. They don't have a hitch for the SSE/SSEi. Maybe the SE, but that hitch won't work on my car.

They carry it now! Part number 36214. Sound familiar? Draw-tite is OEMing them for U-haul. I bet there'* a nice price gouge in there, too! They don't stock them or list a price. You have to call.

Both me (88 LE) and my Dad (93 SE) both got our hitches at U-Hall. We installed it ourselves in little time with no difficulty. We use it to hual a custom made trailer (8x5 as well). I dont think our bonnys have any trouble towing stuff. The trailer itself we tow is 800bls and we've towed 2 tons a few times before (no more cuz we found out the wheel comes off the axel with more than that wieght ).

Pros:You can hual toys and other goodies around town. It prevents dumb people from ruining your bumper in a fender bender (instead your hitch gives their bumper a face lift ).

downside: the frame of my hitch scrapes the road occacsionally going out of driveways if peple are in the backseat.

Those cars would be alot easier to install one on. The SSE and SSEi exhaust makes it a royal bitch, and the hitch is a totally different design because of it.
