Default top speed on ssei

I got my car up to 126mph, and the engine stoped and it wouldn't let me over, Is that because there is a chip that limits the engine? If that is the case, how much does it cost to change the chip?

That'* the set limit in the PCM, you would need someone with a tuner to remove it, like me. There are licensing fees on the software.

how much would you or someone else charge to do that? Not that i'm going to go any faster than that any time soon, my friend and i thought we would try to reach top speed in the car, i seen that the spedometer went to 140, i didn't think they did that to cars.

Dude, do yourself a favor and check the speed ratings for your tires.

will do that, also i don't plan on ever going that fast with that car again, don't want to wreck it. Just wanted to see how fast i could get the car to go, plus don't want to get a ticket.

Lucky you live about a hour from me then. We can get that car moving easy. Got a whole shelf full of go fast parts looking for a home.
