Tires Got SLASHED :(
In the long line of never ending BS: My two driver'* side tires were slashed last night. As were my girlfriends mothers (I was at her house, not a great neighborhood, lol)
Thank God I live in Akron, OH - The Rubber Capitol of the World, as Goodyear and Bridgestone/Firestone are both based here. My grandfather is a Firestone retiree and got me about a $105 discount on the tires. He pays NO labor for anything done at Firestone Complete Autocare stores, and no tire disposal fee.
I got the Bridgestone Insignia SE200s (as that was what was already on the car) and I've heard they're good tires. They were $107.99 per tire, but with the discount it was about $74.00/tire. All in all, I paid $178.99 for 2 new Insignia SE200s with a 3 year warranty against ANYTHING (including slashes ) Not bad I don't think...it would have been closer to $280 without my grandpas discount. I also decided to put both new tires on the front...since those are the drive wheels. The other tires still had about 75% tread life remaining.

Bummer :( well with the discount it wasn't so bad. And rerember what goes around comes around. A few month back someone punched a hole in my gas tank and took the gas. A few weeks later the guy ended up catching fire doing it to another car and got caught

I used to havemy tires slashed all the time when the kids were in school & talking crap... I got to the point I kept 4 spares in the house. I can't remember if it was 22 or 26 total.
Cops didn't do squat but fill out a report.
Best part is SAM'* Club covered them all under their road hazzard policy. LOL

Good news on the deal there!

Man, that sucks. Glad you got a good deal on the fix, but sorry it happened in the first place.
