I'm getting this vibration from my car when i get above 60mph it doesn't get bad till 75mph though. now if i hit the throttle around 80mph it will shake hard enough to rattle things in the car, and once i let of it goes back to just a vibration. it doesn't do this at all under 60mph, and the acceleration shake doesn't start till 75+. I am thinking bad tires or a CV axle.


thoughts car has only 60k miles

try rotating your tires front to back and see if it feels different and inspect the wheels for weight that might have fallen off. usually cv'* are more pronounced at lower speeds and around corners

Maybe have your tires checked to see if they're balanced correctly...I'd check that, at the very least...

i have had them rotated before it felt about the same but that was a couple months ago before the problem got worse. but one tire is newer so i get a tire pull when i rotate. and deffinently no symptoms at lower speeds at all or around corner i did notice the vibration got a bit worse on at left hand ramp at around 75 but not by much

Sounds like a tire balance issue. Im now sure how new your car is that you posting about but I kno a tire pressure sensor that is broken off inside the tire can cause a vibration around 60-70 mph.

either tire balance or wheel bearing.. my buick was notorious for shaking due to bad wheel bearings

My malibu had the same issue it was the steering linkage. There was a tsb on the malibu so the dealer ended up changing out the whole steering column.

Well i feel so freaking stupid. this is embarassing. the vibration is all my fault due to me neglecting the gtp for a couple months. i took it to discount today to air up the tires and they were all 20lbs low and unevenly worn as a result. still need to get them rebalenced. but it is a ton better with just air

so laugh all you want and make fun of me. i deserve it
