Thinking about Leather Buckets, need some help
Going to look at installing some leather buckets in my car this Friday. I am curious as what all I will need to complete this setup. I know any 92-99 seat will fit, just got to find some in good condition. As far installing and removing stock seats I will need the basic tools: screwdrivers, wratchet set,...what else? Part two is the electrical issue, since I have seat controls and leather'* usually have the center counsole controls, i plan on just using the stock wires coming from the floorboard of my car then splicing extra wire (18 gauge?) into those, and hooking them up to the original bucket controls from the leather set.
This shouldnt take me too long for the front and back seats, perhaps 3 hours im thinking?

The physical removal and installation of the seats is a snap. You will only need those tools you already mentioned and perhaps a pair of slip-jaw pliers for some funny looking nuts under the back seat. Be carefull not to scratch the front door panels with the seat tracks as you remove the front seats.
The parts car had leather seats without the center console switches so they are available. It was an SE with the SLE RPO package. If you find the sport seats (AL7) I would recommend getting the wire harness and air line that runs between the the seats and under the console. There is another current post that gives some details about the changing the seat styles.

so, theoritically it could take me around thirty minutes to install the front seats, then maybe another 30 for the back bench, or so. do all leather bonne'* come with a passenger side seat control, or is that just on the AL7 models? My bench does not have the passenger controls and I am not too worried, just as long as the seat can move back and fourth still.
all leather should have the 6 way power driver seats. there are some cars that have the 6 way power passenger seats too. If you dont get a 6 way passenger seat the manual version moves back and forth and has a manual recline.
you should have all the seats taken out and installed in less than 1 hour
