Retrieving dropped sockets which always seem to find the most ungodly difficult places to come to rest.

If you have a compressor...I strongly suggest the red right angle tool on top shown here. Called a die grinder or DA with a cookie/biscuit on it.
These make very short work of gaskets. Only thing to be careful of is aluminium.

I'm with you there, and also when I can't find the bolt holding something on or I can't get to it without going thru 50 other ones first (like the power steering line in a '95 Monte )

I hate dealing with removing/reinstalling little screws in hard to reach places.

Namely, the TPS screws on the bottom side of a SI L67. Those things fell out of my hands so many times.......

Keeping the engine bay clean. I've given up on it. Its dirty as heck but it doesnt mean that it doesn't tick like a swiss watch.
