Default Is There lockup in 2nd Gear?

I'm 99% sure there is no TC lockup in second gear. Lately, if I give enough gas to bring second to 45-50mph before the tranny shifts into third it feels almost like TC lockup. It'l get up to 45mph and hold that speed and second gear for about a second and then slowly (like TC lockup) go into third. The transaction is very smooth though. It seems like every gear is becoming erily smooth, yet annoingly slow. I gues it time to bite the bullet and get a DHP PCM, huh?

Id say since your running a 3.5 w/o a PCM, Im suprised your not suffering some KR from not having a colder plug w/o the pcm. But yes, Id advise getting a DHP 1.0

No TCC lockup of any kind other than 3rd, but you already knew that.

Normally in cold weather, your shifts and transitions should be harsher, not smoother. I suspect something mildly bad beginning.

You don't have the luxury of an adjustable vac modulator to firm things up like us '60 guys, so keep a sharp eye on it.

Remember that your trans is 100% PCM controlled where the 60 isn't, and I'm suspecting low line pressure (failing pump) for your 'smoother' transitions, particularly in cold weather.

A PCM at this point MAY bring on the inevitable sooner.
