The problem is that to build boost you are actually building pressure. A fan type of blower CANNOT build pressure unless it is profiled like a propeller and fairly large.
To build the kind of pressure needed to boost a motor you have to use either a centrifugal type blower like a turbo or a rootor type where it forms a sealed chamber that PUSHES the air in. fans allow too much bypass, the air just blows back through the fan for it nuilds real pressure.
Now, there is a company out there that mates a high wattage motor to a centrifugal supercharger, but hte benefits are VERY limited because the wattage required make alternator drag against the motor almost as much as a conventional */C, and makes the alternator wear out faster.
Stick with conventional power-adders dude...
