So on my 2002 SLE, when i turn on the wipers the headlights come on. Is there a way i can bypass this so that they dont come on when i turn the wipers on? Id like just the DRL to stay on instead of turning off when i use the wipers. Has anyone done this? Sorry this seems kind of confusing but i hope u all understand. THANKS

I believe that may be part of the headlight control module. It does that because you should have your headlights on if it'* raining. Other then rewiring the headlights totally, I don't think it'* possible.
I know here in Ohio a law was recently passed that requires headlights to be on if your wipers are, it'* something in the OS part of the PCM not the tables you can modify or maybe the wiper switch/headlight switch
it actually involves the Dash integration Module and the Intsturment Panel Cluster and the Body Control Module. Not likely your going to change the way the car works. Plus as Frank has said, its a Law in most states to have your lights and wipers on at the same time
Probably not, I don't know the specifics but DRLs are only running at 6 volts on each bulb instead of 12, and you have no lights from the back which is a big part of it
No, DRL'* are not considered a "headlamp". This is because 1) they are not at full wattage and 2) the tail lamps aren't lit.
Also a weird thing. I wonder why your '02 SLE does this, while my '02 SSEi does not.

Thats strange, it might be something with your BCM or wiper switch, my 2000 SE switches to headlights when the wipers are on, also turns off the DRLs (which I have disabled) when I turn just my fogs on during the day for the look
