Default temporary use only

okay so when you get a flat tire and you put your spare on you know how it says temporary use only. They mean it as i usually get to busy to do for myself i got a flat about 4 months ago on the silverado so i put the spare on.well today i got the stock rim put back on with new tire After i had to replace 6 wheel studs and lug nuts because i was lazy about getting my tire fixed for ten dollars and ended up costing me 50 bucks and 2 hours of my time i will take pics in the morning but for now here is this one.what happend was my ''stock'' 350 was apparently to much for steel rim or it just wasnt made to be on for four month and it destroyed the lug hole and tripled them in size causing all my wheel studs to bend twist and break hit them with one trigger tap on the impact and they snapped clean off the three that were left when i came back to the house from unloading my 215 square bails of hay this morning more pics in the a.m.

On my 1993 Bonneville SE.. I was driving down the road and my drivers front wheel broke off. It shattered my front fender, the brake rotor landed on the inside of my 18" rim and cracked it badly, and ended up with a flat spot on my rotor also... Crazy stuff.. It could have been worse

Um, truck spares are real tires, usually the same kind of tire as the rest of the truck but mounted on an unpretty steel rim. I know that'* how my S10 and Avalanche spares were. Nothing about them was meant to be "temporary" except the steel rim looking like crap compared to the other rimgs.

The only spares I know of that are supposed to be temporary are the mini donut spares that come with cars. This is only talking about the tire too, not the rim.

Also, that crap that spares say "Do not exceed 55 MPH" is a load of crap. Most spares are rated up to 80 MPH, they're just covering their asses with that stuff.

I'm just trying to figure out why it did that. There are plenty of cars and truck out there that run steel rims on all 4, not just the spare. They don't get jacked up like that. It'* just odd.
