Some new articles have been posted since the crash. Please take the time to 'surf' Techinfo. In addition, Deathrat and sse1990 have been busy preparing BA in a new role as a Technical reference site.

Al, can you take some time to give a quick brief on the content and purpose of your 're-birth'?

LOL > rebirth.....
All kidding aside, BA.Com purpose is Two-Fold.
1) As a Bonneville Informational Archive
&
2) As a "Q&A" Forum for my Store.

In the first Aspect, I'm trying to collect all the Info I can on Bonnevilles. Presently I'm working on posting: TSB'*, GM Campaigns, Preformance Part Recommendations, General/Common Problems with Answers, How To'*, Repair Proceedures, etc......

Cool scantool register...never knew that was in the works.

Question though...short of my '93 OBDI system...is there any benefit from using a scantool as opposed to just the "wire" method??

Scantool registry has been there awhile I just updated it.

A scantool can tell you about 500 times more than just pulling PCM codes with a wire. You can diagnose trans shifting/TC lockup problems, O2 performance, ECT actual temps (as opposed to indicated), speedo calibration from the VSS signal, and you can DRIVE and watch all this, as well as record data. On a scale of 1-10, if a scantool is a 10 for diagnosis, the flash feature of the PCM is only a 3 or 4.

Nope. If someone will write it up and send it to either Don or I, we'll get to it!
