I just think you'd be kicking yourself in the A$$ when track season comes back around next year and you traded your 12 second FIrebird for a 15 second front wheel drive sedan.

Did you just edit your Signature btw? i swear it said 12 and now it says 8.xxx something at 89 mph.... That has to be an 1/8 mile time right?
I did edit it, but no where did it say 12.xx, the car has never seen a 1/4 mile track yet. Yet another reason I'm ticked because I was heading to Clay City KY to run it in the 1/4 this coming weekend and wouldnt you know it the tranny crapped out on me. It should've went low 11'* with the 100 shot, but who knows when I'll find what it'll do now. But to answer the question, yes, 8.3 @89mph is the 1/8 mile time.
Nice, either way. Keep the TA.

If you do need a daily driver esque vehicle, get a GP GXP, The LS4 V8 in there is based from the same engine family as your LS1, more moddable, and faster out of the box than the Bonne GXP.
The 4K stall isnt half as bad as you might think, the LS1'* love big stalls. Some guys run 4400rpm stalls with no issues whatsoever. I wouldnt hesitate to daily drive it if I had too, the gas mileage would suck in town, but locking up the converter on the highway mileage wouldnt be affected at all, considering you can keep your foot out of it.

You can pick up a nice GXP Bonnie a lot cheaper than the GP, cant you?? I havent researched the GP'* at all. I've found 50K mile Bonnie GXP'* in the low 17'*. What are used GP'* going for?

If daily driving and fuel economy is a concern, you may be disappointed with the GXP. (My dd is a 92 Sentra - two hamsters and a rubber band, but mid30s around town).

However, if you need to haul a$$ and a family, there is none better than the GXP. We can quibble over SSEi vs.GXP. They are both great in different respects. I do know I would trade in my L36 for an L67 or N* any day, but the GXP I'm keeping forever.

Here'* another option. Keep your TA and buy a cheap reliable 4 door car that gets good gas mileage.

That would make too much sense, lol. Seriously though, the resale value is so pitiful on the Stratus, that I might as well just keep it. Plus the wife wont let me sell it her parents helped her pay for it until we got married, then I got stuck with her payments. So in a year it'll be paid for, and I know I couldnt find anything half as nice as it is for the money I'd get for it, so I'm gonna drive it in the ground, lol.

Her she is in all her glory, lol:

I like to read replies like that, not to hear that you've had problems, but it makes me feel better about leaning towards keeping the TA. Vince, have you had engine problems, or just little odds and ends?

I found this vid of the TA after the cam swap (before the tune obviously), you think I could get a Northstar to sound like this?? Teasing :P

Wait woah...wait... you still have the TA and plan on keeping it right?

I don't see what the problem is because you have a TA!!!!

I'd kill for one, following by dying 5 minutes later in a crash.

Grand Prix GXP will be nearly the same price as a bonnie for the miles.....plus the GP GXPs are capable of mid 14s stock..I saw one do a 14.1 with nothing but a K&N last summer.

here are some local ones

Thanks for the heads up, Hans. The interior looks really nice on the GP'* too. I dont thing the exterior compares to the Bonnie'*, but I'd probably be happier with the performance of the 5.3 versus the N*. I'll have to add those to the list.

LOL, yes, I still have it, and for the moment I plan on keeping it. But, I basically have till spring or at least until I rebuild the tranny to make a decision. Thanks for the info fellas.
