You'd be better off getting a SC motor and doing the motor tranny swap. This subject has been discussed on this forum several times. Try a search of the forum ofr more ino, but in the mean time, here'* some info https://www.gmforum.com/t275364/

IMO Adding a SC to a non SC engine can be done but not really recommended.

sorry Dan that is the farthest from the truth

the parts you will need are the following

SC
LIM
heads
fuel rail
injectors
additions to the harness,
Tensioner assembly
Balancer
PCM programming

and if you want to upgrade the trans to the HD, all you need is the Diff and the passenger side axle from a SC 99 Bonneville

there are hunderds of GP'* running this setup and have no problems. The the higher compression ratio helps because you dont have to run a small pulley to make power, In fact alot of the swapped guys running the 3.8 pulley are faster than some cars with a 3.4

I see both Pat and Dans points. It can be done and as Pat says, proven out. Alot of money and labor involved. My view,.... isnt worth the trouble. The tranny without mods wont hold up. And the internals are weaker. My 91 Park Ave souped up with nitrous had a slushamatic tranny and wrist pins double slapping when I pawned it off.
