Default Supercharged GXP?

Was at the bank drive through today...and in the lane two the left, got a quick approach from a Black GXP. Sounded INSANELY sexy. Then I noticed an additional trunk badge...SUPERCHARGED. Does anyone know about a supercharger package for the Northstar? And also, does anyone know of a member in Sarasota-Bradenton with a Black 04-05 GXP?

There'* no ROOM for a supercharger under a GXP hood. I'll give really good odds someone slapped the badge on a stock GXP.

How did you know it was a GXP? Could have been a GTP with GXP badges...

Oh, and Brian, it could also be centrifugal...

He said Northstar...that means Bonneville...
And you should see the engine bay, you'll understand what I mean by CRAMPED.
There'* no way to fit a centrifugal on the passenger side, and no place you could run a driveshaft for one on the drivers side, if you could find room on the driver'* side for the unit.

Ohh, duhhhhhh

I was just looking at GP GXPs 0-60 times on youtube, that must be what screwed me up

As far as I know, there'* only one person with a boosted northstar, and that'* a Caddy STS with an STS turbo system... The PCM hasn't been cracked, and it'* a much more complicated engine than the 3800 is... I think it was an SSEi with GXP badges or something...

Yeah, thats what I was thinking...I know how cramped that engine bay is. Thats why it took me back and got me thinking.

And no, it was a true GXP Peter, I know how to identify simple things such as that Unless he went as far as swapping all the body trim, badges, wheels, brakes, and engine etc.

I'd definitely agree about the badge..I didn't hear any hint of whine when he took off, just an outstanding sexy exhaust note.

Could have been a remote turbo system.

Could have been, but he said it had a badge that said "supercharged"...
