If I walk into a Chevy dealership with a Pontiac part #, can they order the part for me, or are they restricted to what they sell?

I think I know the answer to this, but I just want to confirm

I don't know the answer so I'll take a stab in the dark.

I would say if they deal GM cars they can get GM parts. When I had my car repaired from the crash they ordered parts from the GM warehouse in MPLS. :?

General Motors is common to all their dealership parts departments. You should be able to order any GM part from any GM dealership.
