Default is this strange?

aiight, my car'* been wrecked before on tha drivers side, I noticed after it bein' fixed that now I don't need to use my headlight ****; I just turn on my car and the head and fog lights come on automatically ( this is if my fog botton an sentinal is on)

what would make that happen? my lights come'n on by the twilight sentinal in daylight? when it get'* dark enough the sentinal kicks in and turns on the lights automatically, mines comes on soon as the car starts up anytime of the day as long as the sentinal is activated.

I'm not complain'n about this, actually; I love it this way not have'n to use my headlight **** at all, I just was wonder'n what would make somethin like that happen?

Hmm. DRL'*? Maybe the twilight sensor is goofed up? I know my headlights will always come on when there'* not much light out, even when the sentinel is turned off.

I've had mine do that at times, too. These things ain't smart enough to know where the sun is (like morining or evening rush hour), are they?

No, can't be. Never mind

Default twilight sentinal

My 92 SE did the same thing until I replaced the sensor eye. It is that dime sized thing by the windshield in front of the speedometer. It may just be loose, it pops out of a socket if you pull it gently.

Huh. Lucky you; mine won't come _on_ until it'* totally dark outside, and it turns off again as soon as I go under streetlights.

Anyway, if yours is coming on all the time, check to see if the sensor'* fallen inside the dash, or if you've got something blocking it on top of the dash. Bobcaller'* right; it'* the little button-like thing near the VIN plate on the left end of your dash. (It is _not_ the little raised plastic dome in the top center of the dash; that is the Solar Intensity sensor for the A/C.)
