Default STP Gas Treatment

Is is worth the money to use with every fill up? Just wondered if anyone uses it? Supposed to save gas and keep the engine clean.

EVERY fillup? No. Twice a year maybe.

I like spraying directly inside the TB. Flood it, let it sit, start it, run it 1-2min, shut down, repeat. I feel like I'm getting it cleaner when I watch cleaner that'll take the color off a cow going into the engine haha.

That works great for cleaning passages/ports in the intake and TB. Alot better than putting it in your tank, but you should still occasionally run it in your tank so that it goes through the injectors.

The STP 'Complete' fuel system cleaner (silver bottle) should only be used every 4,000 miles (twice a year). I've used it and it works pretty well. The first time I used it I gained at least 40 miles to the tank (goes to show how much my engine needed it)

But the other cleaner in the Whitle bottle (Fuel Injector cleaner) for example, is recommeneded every other tank. I wouldn't use any of that stuff on EVERY fill up though.

I'm talking about the gas treatment, not the injector or complete system cleaner. Its recommended use is in every fill up.

I use Chevron Techron treatment at the start of winter, and again at the start of summer.

And who recommends using it every fillup? THE MANUFACTURER. They recommend using it every fillup so they make more money. In my opinion it isn't needed more than twice a year in any situations. In fact, we never use any sort of cleaner or "treatment" or anything in any of our cars ever, and have never had a problem with any part of the fuel system. The only additive we have ever added to anything is marvel magic mystery oil that we add to the oil in the odd situations that we have a motor knocking, and it usually fixes that problem quickly.
