Stopped at the salvage yard today.

You'll be used to it in a week or so Dan. Just don't get distracted when they're all lit up at night.

I have my gauges there now, I just have them in gauge cups, and they stick out further yet. But I like the cleaner look of this new one. It'* all painted up and I'll have it installed tomorrow.

I've tried the hammered paint myself and didn't like the results. I think you'll like the crinkled better.

The hammered didn't look right at all. I stopped at 3 different stores, and not one had crinkle paint. I went with a lite stone. I'll see how it looks in the morning. But I thought it looked good.

I've seen the "Stone" ones and wondered how they work out. Anxious to see. I have some patio furniture that needs a fresh look.

I used a more of a sandstone. The heavy stone looked like it would be way to much.

SEM sells texture and paint that replicate factory to perfection. That would put this right up there in the looks factory category.

As it is right now, you can't tell unless you really really look close. Not as smooth as factory, but the look is right there. Next one will be sanded between the texture and color. That should take care of that.
