Steering column identification?
I just want to find out if anyone out there could help me find out what my GM tilt steering column is out of as I want to hook up the wires to a Haywire Wiring harness in my 1951 Hudson. I thought that someone Might have an idea of which wires go where on the column I have? The tag/sticker on the column reads "F H Z" -Then this row of numbers/letters-32EHZ SVO 2561234 260ea7 . OR maybe someone can guide me to a site where they identify the wires and what they went to? My Column has a yellow wire that is cut off in the center of the steering column presumably for a air bag- which my Hudson doesn't have. The best I could find is that it is out of a 1978 to 87 GM product. There are 8 wires glued together underneath the column- Pink-dark Green-gray-white-dark blue-gray-black-pink. All small wires- Then a Big yellow14gauge?, orange16ga?, small white18ga?, On top of the column is a
Big Pink, big Yellow, big black, big Brown, 2 big Reds, 1 smaller orange, 1 small green, and last 1 Big light green? Hopefully that won't confuse any readers out there. Thank You for reading this. warrenoie

Hopefully someone will have more information based on the information you supplied above. In the meantime, I don't know of an airbag-equipped steering column until late `80s except for a few extremely rare Buicks and Cadillacs in the `70s. I don't believe they used the standard yellow wires back then.
