Well I have a 1992 SSEi, so naturally, it stalls when taking a turn with low gas. I want to fix this. Will replacing the WHOLE tank (pump included) fix this problem? How hard of a process would replacing the tank be? What tools would I need and about how much would a used or even new tank cost? I would appreciate as much feedback as possible. I would like to get this problem resolved by the time winter starts.

Replacing the tank with a newer model tank (i think like 96+) will fix that....For tools, I dunno what you'll need for I haven't done this myself, I'm thinking normal socket set, hammer lots of WD40 or whatever you prefer...and a chisel. Definantly can be done yourself. Just make sure you run the tank as far as you can so you can easily handle getting out of the car by yourself. Parts, from a salvage yard you could do this project, pump and all for under a $100.

Will this work with a fuel tank off of any model, SE, SLE, SSE, or does it have to be off of a supercharged bonnie? Are there any differences that could cause issues?

93-95 tank I think... You have to get the back end of the car about two foot off the ground, A helper is great. You need a flathead screw driver... a couple combo wrenches... And I had to use a jack to lift my exhaust up.

Trim level won't matter on the tank.....I think just on the fuel pump?

yeah i figured a tank from say a 93 SE SSE SSEi would do the trick..and the SSEi high flow pump ofcourse.

Trim level won't matter, but as stated, SSEi pumps flow more. Don't put an SSE/SE tank with stock pump on an L67.

93-95 tank confirmed, not 96-99.

So, hopefully I will be able to go to a junkyard and be able to find a tank. Will I be able to get a pump off of a website new? What is a good website for finding some?
