Hey, I'm new here, first post
A kid at work has a stock Bonneville SSE (thats the supercharged one right?) to my Stock 2003 mustang GT. He wants to race from a dig and thinks he can take me... is he full of it or is there some truth to his story?

Most SSE'* were not supercharged. If he is, he'* got you stock for stock. The SSEi'* are all supercharged.
Otherwise, it depends on the year. Another member here lives next door to me. He'* got a 93SSE, and runs neck and neck with most stock GT'*. They beat him off the line, but he catches up fast.
After 95, you're gonna have more trouble. Big boost in hp and torque in those years. I think he'l give you a run for the money. Surprised?

I told the kid Ill only run on a track since I dont like street racing, (his is supercharged, its an SSEi, i forgot the i on there). Early 90'* say 93-94. What do these run 1/4'* usually? I'm not that great of a driver and ran mine to 14.13 @ 99.1 bone stock.
Yeah that supprises me that the big family car can put out that well vs. a sports car

You must have a 99 or newer. They made more power. If that'* the case, and he'* not modded, you'll take him. A slightly modded 96 or newer SSEi might be a different story though. ****. I didn't even see your year in the first post!
I'd like to see you run against a 2003 SSEi
Like a good challenge? Still a heavier car, but big balls in the torque department. Tell your friend to join up over here. We'll help him along!

Ill do that. Average dyno numbers for stock 99+ GT'* is something like 240-245 HP/ 290 torque. The older (96-9
4.6 GT'* had real constrictive heads and were rated at 215 HP and were real dogs. (Heavier than the 99+ as well)
I'd be up for a run with a new SSEi, Anyone in the detroit area interested in hitting up the Milan Dragway on a T&T night?
thanks for the input!

well, he'* the one that wanted to run, he aproached me :P
I'm fairly certain that he wouldnt have much trouble with a stock 5.0 fox body mustang, the 5.0 is a great motor but didnt put much out from the factory.
