I've seen one that says on side badge "SSE" then under that "Special Edition"...isn't that SPECIAL

Sorry guys, but Special edition sounds extremely like..gay, haha. For example.... " Hey guys i just bought a new car. ..oo oo what kinda car did u get?? .. Yea i got a Bonneville with a Special Edition package..lol.

When I bought my SSEi the sales literature from GM stated:
* - Safety
* - Security
E - Efficiency
i - intelligent

and after each a description of all the special features that the car had associated with each

...like the man said, it can mean whatever you want it to...

I group them into two categories depending on how much plastic they have on the outside: SSE and SSEi (and older cars like my gorgeous old '78 T/A 6.6) are wearing full Bird-of-Prey battle gear; the LE and SE are the "civilian" models... (Oooh, that'll go over _real_ well here... )

I always thought it was kind of weird, that fixation they had with practically all their car models having to start with "C"... everything from Corvette to Chevette.

Y'know what else? There used to be really good _factory_ names, too: "My car was made in Framingham..." Plus there'* Torrence Avenue, or Lordstown, or Flint, or Pontiac...

Now my brother'* driving around in a Saturn that was made in Spring Hill. I tell ya, it just ain't the same.
