Default Spray paint

I'm looking for OEM matched spray paint. I've tried Dupl-icolor and Plasti-kote so far. Dupli-color only has 1/2oz touch-up paint available for my color and Plasti-kote has a 6oz can. I'm looking for a regular sized (11-12oz) can of spray paint. I've also seen some companies that will make the paint color per code and put it in a aerosol can for $30. That seems a bit too high. I am a cheap bastard so maybe it'* just me. Does anyone know of another reputable source for OEM matched paint?

I get mine at the dealer. From the paint code on the RPO label. Doesn't get more perfect than that. What color is your car?

I can give you the paint part number for a 5oz can, but not the 12oz. Later if you want it. I'm still stuck at work.

Sure, that would help. What $$ do they get for the 5oz?

Don't remember, but I may still have the receipt. Or we can run it when I get the p/n off the can. For reference, it was enough to repaint one whole rocker panel, 2 coats, and some left.

Maybe enough to paint my helmet for Bonneville next year

You can actually spray paint a part of a car without it looking tacky?

If done correctly it will look just fine. I wouldn't paint a whole car but I suppose you could with OK results. I just need it for certain parts like the door hinges from the parts car and maybe the inside and edges of the RR door. There'* also some areas that will need body work. My idea was to complete the body work, prime then paint with the correct color. This will hold me over until the entire car gets new paint.

It'* all in the prep work, and what you do between coats (wet sanding works well). Then again before clearcoat. Rocker panels aren't very visible, anyway Looks a ton better when you compare the driver'* side (the one I did) with the roadrash on the passenger side.
