Unhappy Speedometer needle and gas gauge no longer working

Hi, I was wondering if someone could explain possible reasons why parts of my dash are malfunctioning, any help is appreciated

Could you be a bit more specific as in what year and model vehicle? As far as general solutions go a speedometer could malfunction from bad wheel speed sensors and a gas guage from a bad sending unit in the tank.

My vehicle is a chevy tahoe, and I am having an issue with the gauges and shift indicator display
