Default Speaking of seats... bench swap to buckets possible?

One of my ideas for the LeSabre, is to change out the front seats. Now, I know some (very few) came with a 40/40 split with a center console. 99.9% have the split 60/40 with armrest like I do.
With the upgrades I'm doing, I'd like to find a pair of front seats that hold me in a little better.
(I'm a little guy BTW, 165 dripping wet, so I slide all over in the LeSabre'* couch!)

Would it be possible to swap in MY2000+ Bonneville buckets? Mine are heated, but also have the side airbags. Has anyone attempted to swap a bench for a bucket setup before? Logically, they should fit, but will the airbags translate over without a problem?

I mean, I have the FE5 setup in my car. The suspension is awesome. But I'm sliding around on the couch. Its not much fun having to brace yourself around the corners.

Any ideas? Not to mention I would be building my own custom center console (housing some, uh, goodies) and keeping the column shifter.

The problem there wouldn't be so much mechanical. Your car isn't wired for the seats in any way. You be doing some very detailed homemade wiring.

Wiring isn't a huge deal for me.
I have the FSM, and if need be, I could get one for whatever donor they come from. I don't have a limited, so I don't have the driver memory specific settings like many LeSabres do.
Its just your average power heated seat. Nothing that special.
As long as I can get pin-outs, I'm good.
My concern is over the fit, how easily they will bolt in. And if the airbags will work. If the airbags wont work with the system, then everything else is pointless.
Morad has been really good at finding me things lately, its just a case of figuring out all the details before getting into a big project like this.

Take a pic of how your seats bolt up. I have seen 92-99 Bonnevilles, 00+* etc and could probably recognize the mounting.

Can you imagine?, Turning the seat temps from heat to cool and blowing the side air bags.... sorry. But it would be funny, huh.

I don't get this coming from the guy who didn't take "your GXP isn't moddable", went out and showed the community that a GXP could do amazing things. We are the kings of modding the unmoddable here.

I've converted many couch Bonnevilles to power seats etc. 99% of what you'll need is likely chillin under the seat. A 10 gauge power and 10 gauge ground. A week ago I turned a Regal with power driver and manual passenger seats into power and heated both sides. Took bout an hour and a half.

Actually just a little humor Bill. Shouldn't be a challenge to recognize the "trip" wiring for the airbag from the rest. Yet something you want to be sure off. It would be a shame to blow a seat apart all the way through the expense and halfway through the Mod. I think it would take more than a needle and thread to fix it.

Well, whatever seat the donors are, would have to have the belts built in, so Im guessing 2000+ H body cars? Don't 99 and down have B pillar mounted seatbelts?

I'm sure the seats would fit. Shouldn't be an issue. I'm concerned mostly about the airbags. I figure, if they came from a similar year, that the system should read them in the same way. Taking seats from a car many years apart might cause a fault in the system.
