I haven't done anything yet, I'm gathering all the information so I can do this little project tomorrow since I don't work at all. Im planning to take one wire off, find its replacement and plug, then put the new stuff in. Just go one-by-one seems to be the easiest way.

One by one ensures you never cross a wire (put on wrong plug)

Good idea. Take it slow and do it right. Next time, you'll be an old hand at it.

So if I were to walk into AutoZone tomorrow (or later tonite) and ask for dielectric grease, they'd know what I mean? Does it go by any other names?

And I just noticed that this mass of conversation brought me to my 150th post. Not a major milestone for most others here, but it'* a little somethin' special

Yes, they'll know. And if the person you ask doesn't know, ask someone else, 'cause he/she'* a spork.

My dad mentioned something about resetting my timing, will I have to do this as well or not necessary?

You shouldn't have to.

Why? Did he have a specific reason?

When you get all done, you'll have something to show him and be proud of. Might just start something new...who knows, right?

You couldn't rese the timing if you wanted to. It'* not technically possible on our cars.

To set the timing, you gotta have a distributor.

Fine, if you can get into the PCM program, you can play with the timing....

I know someone'* gonna say it
