General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

So what was your first mod?? Pics welcome.

the goal was to get back as much of the lost stock power as possible before trying to add any with mods. the only reason i did the K&N and the 8mm Accells was because i didn't see the point in replacing them with stock if i was going to be upgrading later.
So in doing that, how much (if any) improvment did you notice??

well, my car wasn't really in the best shape, the plugs were originals, as were most of the rest of the parts. so the fresh parts made a huge difference in my position. the gains you'll see depend largly on how well your car is maintained and running right now.

but getting all your ducks in a line now will benifit you greatly when you start modding more seriously. you can't build a building without a good foundation.

I don't know if you would really call this a mod, but the first thing I did was move the display for my cd changer. It was here when I got the car

and I moved it to here, which was much more practical

I'd have to say my first real "mod" was gutting the airbox
