Default so i've been thinking....

so i've had my car for a lil' over a month now and i know how great it is to be supercharged and how u can be a big car and still have get-up....awesome, right?
but then the idea came to me today while driving my mom'* olds 88 royal, that the car while being about the same size {maybe a lil' shorter} is def lighter and even with a n/a 3800 might bring my */c bonneville some challenge....
...and thus i thought that my friend'* 99 maxima may bring me some challenge {as i was thinking to just smoke him one day to prove that our "granny cars" may look innocent, but can still kick}....again, the maxima is smaller and lighter than a bonneville...but i still have a feeling that i could beat him...both cars are stock...so i'm workin' with about 205hp and he'* about 190hp.....but i guess my question is will weight weighout horsepower? <~~if that makes sense...lol

You might beat the Max off the line because of your superior torque. He'll have you by the 1/8th if not sooner. There'* alot of technology advance in the last 10 years.

But does he have a HUD? And you are EASILY modded.

nah....he has no HUD....and in reality....i don't either lol {adjustable thingy broke....so to see it u have to situate urself up near the sunroof lol...might pull off the cover and rig the cable when i get a chance....dealer wants too much $$$}
but back on topic lol...i think i can take him..he'* heavier than i am....{180 vs about 220?} so maybe that'll give me some adavantage

If it is just the switch piece that broke, I just found one I had spare lying around if interested. As for beating the Maxima, depends on if it is auto or stick as well. Stick should beat you. Auto should be a decent challenge.

Depending on what engine that 99 Max has it will own you. That 3.5 is no slouch.

I stuck my house key in the little slot where the HUD adjuster SHOULD be, and was able to move it around a little, so now I see it perfectly. There'* NO WAY I was doing without that in my nice new Bonne

If the Max is a stick, it should beat you. Otherwise it should be a pretty close race. The Maxima is a well built car.

My friend has an automatic '98 I30 which is basically the same thing as a maxima. With an intake/muffler/superchip i beat his car stock. But when he got this Y pipe and intake, I would still have him off the line but his car started creeping away from mine at like 60mph.
So, if your car is in good working order, i'm guessing you will beat the maxima, if it'* stock.(pretty sure the 3.5'* came out in '02)
You've got more torque than when i raced my friend so that'* why i'm guessing you'd beat it.
