Default So, if I'm to black out my tails...

...should I black out my headlights, too? I mean, wouldn't it look kinda silly on an all black car with everything else blacked out, including the windows, to have clear headlights?? All opinions welcome, of course...

Edit: (I think I posted this in the wrong section... )

Go for what I did...

Blackout the tails (ecept reverse lights) and clear your front corners. The black tail lights blend in nicely with the rest of the car and the clear front lights compliment the rims on the car by breaking apart the "flat black" look.

That'* what I was thinking, but then I started doubting myself. Wouldn't it, on my car, look off-balance? Also, I'm thinking it'll give it a midnight/shadow/mystery car look. It'* funny to watch people trying to look in my windows from their cars, and they can't see a thing EVERYONE looks!! Heheh... What can I say...(MOS chimes in now with his, "Look at me!! I'm an attention *****!!" pic... )

If you want to keep it real clean looking you can do a couple extra things too:

1) tint the reverse lights as well but upgrade the bulb for a brighter light when on
2) put LED'* in the front turn signals and use the resistors to make it work with the lamp monitor system.
3) tiniting the headlights is bad, but using smoked covers is good. Legal I don't think you can drive with the covers on but it will look nice for show in the day time.

Yes, "smoked" is what I was thinking. I was looking at Allmachtigue'*(sp?) headlights. Like that you mean? I don't think they're illegal here. I see 'em all the time.

Clear, but with clear corners. Anything you do to your headlights will decrease their effectiveness anyway.

Gordy, did you tint your reverse lights? I know I didn't, and I'm glad now. My halogen backups are HOT. I don't know how the VHT Nightshades will hold up to that heat.

No, I didn't tint them. Since the lens'* were white/clear on them I fugured I would leave them open so I could see better at night. Don't want to back into something.

I do think others have done it though.
