Guys, I am seriously twitching right now. I may be getting another car. Ok, the local yard towed in a black 95 about a week ago. I went and talked to the guy about it today and looked at it. It is black with tan interior, cd player, leather, really nice, no tears or stains inside, one dent in the drivers door, absolutely not a scratch on the car. Well, I offered to trade him my 66, and he said no. He said he could make more money off the parts for the Bonneville, but he'd take $350 for it. Well, that kinda depressed me. BUT, I just got off the phone with a guy who is coming to look at the truck tomorrow! I am sooo excited right now. I really hope I get this car. It is awesome. The only thing it is missing is the intake. I don't know why they hauled it in, but there can't be a whole lot wrong with it, it still has air in the tires. Doesn't even have the musty smell of an old car. The oil still smells new.

most likely has a failed UIM which killed the motor or most likely a dead trans.

if the UIM is gone....hydrolocked....

How hard/expensive would a UIM be to fix?

PS, what exactly IS the UIM?

well did you mean the Intake as in the filter...or the Upper Intake Manifold? Cause if its just hte filter missing that is not a big deal....but if the UIM is missing then there could be engine problems....

When you go see the car check the oil . If it looks like chocolate milk. There is anti freeze in the oil. Which also means that the crank bearings are probably rusted and the motor is capute if it happend a while ago.

The upper intake is missing. And oldsman, I'll probably go and look at it again tomorrow. If I sell my truck tomorrow, I'm gonna get the car tomorrow.
