Coming home from doing some shopping yesterday, I was on section of two lanes that merged into one a half mile or so down the road. I came up behind a slower-moving Passat in the left-lane, and patiently waited for him to pass the couple cars in front of him and move over. Well, he finished passing, but stubbornly refused to yield the left lane. So, I moved over to the right and began to slowly pass. He, of course, sped up...I punched it, and he punched it at the same time. We were going around 55mph, and my tranny went into the 2nd gear sweet spot I pulled ~3 lengths from 55-80. After that he just gave up. It was pretty cool, I haven't gotten into a decent race in a while (the last couple cars that tried to take me were kids in a Corolla and Accent - pathetic).

Nice Kill. I haven't gotten in very many good races either. It always seems like the slow cars end up next to me.

Got two chalk marks on the dash last night. One was a moron in a civic, didn't even get past 3200 rpm, still blew him away. The next one was a new 5 speed maxima. He kept up till i punched it

1st went to 40, 2nd to 80, 3rd to the 108 limiter.

I meant it downshifted to 2nd gear, btw. 2nd gear was the king, I used to kill everything with it. And, mine always shifted nice and fast, until the differential started to go, anyway.
