dude what the heck? I wouldn't race people if they didn't give me an incentive to race them. This guy did want to race and he didn't take off normally, he was racing me. I know the difference between taking off normally and racing, and this prelude was racing me. But I beat him, so that'* all that counts. No I don't have a unique area, just alot of racers around here that'* all. When I see a performance exhaust, special rims, a wing, whatever, and he or she pulls up next to me, that signifies race to me. And evidently he saw my wing so he thought I put it on there to make my car go faster when I didn't need it to go faster, it is fast enough. I don't consider myself a ricer because whatever I do to my car, I have the engine capabilities to back it up, unlike say a ford festiva or whatever, so I need a motive to race.

okay, got one thing to say. you say you don't consider your car to be a ricer because it has the performance to back it up. a v-tech civic then can do whatever it wants and never be considered rice? because they are faster

i think the kid was driving along with his friend, you pull up at the stop light starring strait ahead at the light. this kid looks over at your car (which you think is him saying he wants to race) and notices your big wing, stickers, 14'* and chuckes a little. then you floor it, let out a little squeal, but he takes off normal, but with a much bigger chuckle.

NO ONE, ever, has gotten into as many "races" as you. i do like 4 times a year!

It is very possible that other young kids in riced out cars look at his car and want to give it a go. Most of us don't see this kind of play because we keep our cars looking stock for the most part. I find it very hard to get anyone to even give me a glance, but I know i look at every piece of rice that drives by me. Sometimes large wings and stickers are more of an advertisement (or provocation?) to others of the same mind set. If unique wants to have a wing and stickers and 14" race wheels more power to him. He will probably attract a lot more like minded people and be more likely to race them.

Most of us on the other hand who do not want such things on our cars would not be given a second thought by those that would.

I agree. It'* all about appearance. Nobody wants to race me. I don't mind either. My car is practically stock.

I only race my friends for fun once and a while.

Just add a sticker like the one on my car and you'll get races all the time

Same here. A lot of people don't even look at my car because they think it is a "grandpa'*" 88. Thats fine with me because I don't like to race. Hitting it off the line is BAD news for any tranny. The 460-E is $2000 to rebuild and mine is original. I intend to keep it that way. I guess the best advise is if you like to race flush you're trans fluid every 10,000 mi, or be prepaired to cash in on a new tranny.

I'm thinking its probably the wheels and the fart can along with the sticker that get you the races, not just the sticker. But, thats just what I think.
