They did have SLE'* then. They started as an RPO option in 93. BonneMeMN of 1993SLE qill remeber it, I forgot the code. tHEY HAD THE SLE'* OUT STARTING AT '93 people JUST DIDN'T TO MUCH PAY THEM ATTENTION back then. The optioin were Sport Luxury Edition for SE includes a decklid spoiler, crosslace alloy wheels, bigger tires, leather seats and a performance oriented transaxle ratio (3.06)

Yes you can get an SLE with a supercharger. Those models started having a supercharger in 95 and ended sometime in 97 or 98 as they killed that option for SLE'* to have superchargers and SSE'*.

The differences From 93-95 was that the SLE'* looked exactly like an SE. Only in 95 when some had superchargers they had dual exhaust. 96-97 was pretty much the samne as as the 93-95 just the newer body styles and they supercharger had dual exhaust. The 98-99'* were looking like the SSE/SSEi trim, but with a chrome trim lining around the windows, no air shocks in the rear, no SLE badging on the trunk and no 12-way seats and as they had there own model and badging now, but they had the interior of an SE.

SSE'* are basically an SSEi withou the supercharger (unless you wanted this option in 93, 96, 97 and 9 and they usually come with a package with 12-way seats, some dont, HUD, air pump, rear air struts, badge on the trunl, compass, computerized driver info center, bose 8-speaker system(if avail.) and Computer command ride (if available)

I think it depends on if someone had taken the car off the dealer floor or odered it.
He said they have an SE interior.
Mine, otion wise is the same as an SSE, except no SC, no adjut suspension and no dual exhaust.
Got the leather interior with the electric seats premium sound, chrome trim, bigger wheels and tires and the list goes on.

So ultimitley I guess depends on the original order, just like the other trim levels, there were apparently things you could still pick and choose.

Yes, in the 98-99 they didnt have the same interior options like the SSE. Premium sound systym you can have but not the Bose unless they put up some money from scrath.

Iknow its not my car but in 97 they still had the SE look. Its not the same as an SSE until 1998 with the closer foglights body cladding, dual exhaust and badging.

ok here we go..............ready good. SLE Package Started in 1993 the first year of production for the option group H4U. That is the RPO code.

This package consisted of....
HoneyComb grille
Silver Crosslace OR Ghetto gold aluminum wheels
Touring tires
FE1 soft ride suspension
deck lid spoiler
N10 high flow muffler (93 only)
leather interior
moonroof (optional)
power antenna
lower boddy cladding
traction control (optional)
3.06 gear ratio transmisson
Cargo net
Premium sound with 6 speakers
Twillight Setential
courtsey lighting
remote keyless entry
chrome trim on the "belt line" and arpond the windshield and the doors(93 only)

now all SLE package cars came with these options except in 94 they discontinued the use of the N10 high flow dual outlet muffler and the Trim changed to black around the "belt line" and the windshield

any questions????????/

no that is not correct they are an option group, they came from the factory that way. the SLE package was cheaper than loading up an SE with all the options.

the SLE was designed to compete with the foregin market in 1993. And the package did well for pontiac.

im on a roll...... this is why i am the SLE trim level specalist..

ok IN 1995 you could get an SLE with the Superchager, you had to get the SLE package to get the SC. it was a series one with 225 hp. You could also get the CCR and air ride suspension. I have personally seen one of these cars. this car looked like an SE on the outside with the SE gagues. The SC'd SE never got the BOOST gague in the instrument cluster.

IN 1996 they kept the option of the SC in the SLE package but the car never got the CCR or air ride suspension.

1997 was the last year of the SC SLE. this year produced the mose rare care with the 40th anniversary SC SLE there were only 6 cars made like that

in 1995 the car had a supercharged badge on the front doors

in 1996 and 1997 the supercharged badge was on the trunk

Notes:
Sport Luxury Edition: According to GM, the only year between 1987 and 1998 that the SLE was a model was in 1994. Ironically, they did not badge the 1994 SLE. Furthermore, GM has the SLE listed as a “Sport Luxury Edition”. During the years between 1995 and 1998, the SLE was an RPO option group “H4U”. Again, ironically, some of these SLE’* are badged as such.
