That looks like a survivable crash if everyone was safely fastened in...impact looks like the driver side area between the engine bay and the door...
Possibly a left hand turn situation...and hit by a passing car?

imagine if that was a ford festiva.... what a scary thought.
..imean, a damn semi climbed on the top of my old bonne...and that'* all the damage?? lol. I feel incredibily safe driving my bonneville, and it'* a great feeling. ..ya baby , rock on!
