Question Shifter

What would it take to move the shifter from the steering columb to a center console?

If your good with tools. Get a center counsel, mount it, change the cables, run any wires for lighting. As I've never done it I can't say for sure it'* easy or hard.

Like Dan says...

Overall it'* easy if you have the tools and some ability.

You'd need to swap your seats for buckets and a console. When you get the console, get the whole shifter assembly and wiring harness to it. Also get a steering column for a console car.

Change those out and you should be all set. You may find more on this with pictures by searching on 1993 SLE'* posts froma couple years back when he did this with another member Troyport.

Seems like a hell of alot of work, but at least you'll have a nice arm rest.
