On a manual, it'* called a gear shift ****... what is the automatic shifter called? (the between-the-seat kind)

I don't think anyone makes anything like that. Column shift is "uncool" to start with, why make it worse by calling attention to it?

it may be "uncool" to you, but 2 of our 4 cars have it. My dads 01 Silverado and my 1993 se has it.
