Shell Premium/V Power Fuel

Shell Premium/V Power Fuel
So while my mother was occasionally using my car while I was in florida, she filled it up with local regular Cenex gas...now it wasn't bad, but since I've been driving it, theres been this very obvious sluggishness. I just passed it off because its hot outside. So I was nearly on empty today so I decided to go to shell and try out V Power to see if there truly was any difference in feel, power, response, etc. O. M. F. G. Its like a 3000% difference! I don't know WHAT the deal is with our local gas station, but its gas makes the car just like goo up or something. It was taking 3/4 throttle to full just to get it moving respectably well. With this gas , you hit it about 1/2, downshift for power, RIGHT at the 2800RPM torque point, WOAH. its just like you can FEEL the power. Its also now idling smoother, not missing under accel, etc.
I can fully recommend Shell V-Power for ANY car. Plus all those detergents can't hurt anything either.

Shell gas tends to be higher-tiered, if you can say that. When I had carbon problems with the Caddy they recommend going to Shell, Phillips 66, and BP. Probably one other brand which I forget but that was the list. They supposedly have better refining.

I'll have to give Shell a try. I normally use a local generic gas station... I like to give the business to the local guy, but I don't think that he can compete with the quality of Shell and the other big-oil companies.

Shell is one of a few that sell what is known as "Top Tier" gasoline. I've posted a couple of threads regarding it. It'* a standard set by some of the automakers, including GM and Toyota.
