Series 1 l67 Dyno Numbers

What what a l67 in good running condition make at the front wheels stock......series 1 that is........namely for my Park Avenue

popatim 12-01-2006 10:50 PM

I'm not sure but I know its in the owners manual if you still have it.

petraman 12-01-2006 10:56 PM

Nah, it wouldn't be in the owners manual, he's asking for numbers that people have measured with their stock cars. Maybe willwren knows some?

popatim 12-01-2006 10:59 PM

Why wouldn't it? Thats how they measured it at the factory. I know my Olds manual lists the Hp & Torque specs for each engine but then we only had the one tranny to deal with.

:stupid:

no.

It will list the rating from the factory at the crank. However the numbers will vary greatly since a dyno pulls the numbers at the wheel.

If I had to guess I'd guess the gen 1 series one l67s are 170ish.

gen 2 or 3 whatever are probably in the 180 something range

sheer guess, but I'm not aware of anyone who has dynoed a stock series 1

SSEi95 has.

Just so you know, the first run was in 3rd, the last two were both held in 2nd.

But keep in mind that Gordy had a 2.5 pulley.....So thats 2-3lbs of extra boost...So 180 might be accurate as I mentioned.

willwren 12-02-2006 12:01 PM

225hp, 260tq at the crank. Minus 20% or so.

My dyno run peaked just under 200 on one run, but that run had issues and we couldn't verify that number. I was actually looking for torque numbers that day, but the dyno was acting up and didn't spit any out. My SSEi felt like a torque monstor ore than a hp one.

I also had a 3" exhaust, CAI, 2.5 pulley, MSD coils all installed at the time.
