my insurance on my bonnie is only like 30 a month and i have comp, liability, and medical. so for both cars its like 145 per month which is not bad considering my 04 has full coverage with high limits and decent deductibles

I love the south, NO RUST! The only rust on my whole car is in the rock chips on the hood, and that'* just surface rust. Just sand it when I paint the car....

rust will take a little while to take over the entire car anyhow. every vehicle i've owned has had some rust, i let it go (cause i've tried to fix it and unless i redo the entire car i won't get it all) and when its bad sell it. and if its a winter car, it'll rust up soon anyhow... darn salt...

Looks like it would be an excellent deal for $500 canadian.
Since it would be a winter car, I would befor putting the windshield trim on get some sand paper, rust dissolver and primer and fix that rust spot above the windshield. that is not a place you want a rust hole and it still looks like it is savable. As for the rest, it doesn't look bad at all. If it is a sunroof car, take it to a hi power car wash and remove the bottom couple screws from the inner fenders, open the doors and spray inside the fender. A lot of junk gets caught in there and will make it rust out faster if it hasn't already. Just a preventative measure.
If you test drive it alone, take the rear seat bottom out and look in the corners. That'* the best way to check for major unibody rust.
I say go for it if you can get it for $500 cdn. Worth that in parts from what I see.

Went in today.
Original sales man wasn't there, however, the sales manager was
He said, Matt, I will not sell you that car, i will not put my name on the bill of sale, its a compleat mechanical wreck.
A younger lady owned it before, had a young baby in the back with a car seat..as soon as he saw that car come in and she wanted to trade it, they inspected it..
It needs all new ball joints, tie rods, brakes all around, trans leaks a bit, rear main engine seal leaks alot, upper intake leaks coolant onto the engine, it steams when it runs, it won't idle at all, its been overheated he is sure of that, RR power window doesnt work, steering is garbage.
He said he took the car in on trade and gave her a good deal on another car because he felt her SSE was SO unsafe, it actually really concearned him that she was driving it with a young child, as he said he has children and grand children. He took that car off her hands so she didnt have to drive it anymore. It will go to an auction for parts only.
I thanked him for being honest about it, he said, he has to look at his face in the mirror everyday, and if he sold me that piece of crap to drive, he would have trouble doing that because unlike some, he actually worries about people driving junkers, for all he knows he said, a wheel could fall off of it on the highway..
Im glad he told me everything.
