Even though they had a limited production run, it doesn't seem to matter in the resale scheme of things. I see them going around the NY/PA areas for 9-13 tops (car lots). I'm keeping mine just to have it, but if it isn't going to stay with you... I dump it for that price. There just going to keep sliding in value.

I'm in a similar thought mode here... Love my GXP but concerned now out of warranty. 2011 CTS-V Coupe is what I've been noodling around. $74K is an insane amount of cash, but my wife said the same thing when I bought the GXP new at $40k.
If only it would be offered it in an AWD. Former owners I've spoken to hate the CTS in rear wheel format on the slightest of snow. Lots of older CTS'* on the market as trades for the same reason.
I know where there is a 2005 CTS-V, never titled at a GM Dealer with under 1k miles for around 35 grand. It'* a 6 speed manual.
I've been watching for a low miles 05 GXP to mothball; a bookend with a '57 drop top I've been negotiating on, creating a start to finish Bonneville collection. One in Atlanta with 26K, one I missed in Schaumberg, IL with <10K last year.

as for the CTS-V, it just shouldnt be on snow, 400hp with 6 speed is just wrong on snow

ahahahahahaa
CTS-V are nice, but the 6 speed would be a pain if my wife or brothers need the car for some reason (which is good on my side lol).
i just my hearing a */C whine... just the idea of having a */C V8 makes me drool all over the STS

Hehe..I had a Trans Am WS6 with some bolt ons putting out that about that power and I drove it in the winter when I lived up North..I couldn't afford to have a second car and store the T/A at the time.
I put some GOOD winter tires and rims on that and 100lbs of sand bags in the rear...BEST vehicle I have had in the snow..better than the 4wd Trailblazer I had with regular A/T tires on it.
The 6 speed actually was nice in the snow, as I had more control over the car and traction than in an automatic IMO.
I just could not get that thing stuck! It was so much fun and the looks on peoples faces when they were stuck along roads and even the interstate while I plowed by was priceless!
For anyone who complains about a RWD car being bad in the snow...put some snow tires on it, that is what they are for. Anything can drive in the snow with snow tires and some weight in the back..I proved it with my car haha
I am going to be so jealous of you if you get a *TS-V as that is my next car and I am saving for a house right now and because of that I would have to take a loan on it and I just can't justify ever having a car payment :(
So until I can save the cash...it'* no CTS-V for me... Now if someone would pay me $15k for my car then it would be a different story lol

So let me get this straight. Someone offered you $16,500 for your GXP and you didn't break your arm shaking his hand and saying "deal"? Really?
I work for a GM dealer, formerly a Pontiac dealer. Take the money, thank the gentleman politely and walk very quickly away. Now.
