Default Seafoam

I had some transtune in my tranny for about 20-30 miles now.. awesome stuff. My 2-1 shift used to be about 4 seconds, and now its just like every gear, and is just under 1 second. My shifts have smoothed out a lot, and when cold, it isn't like someone is kicking my car with a really big foot. However, when I bought the transtune, Napa didn't have the motor stuff.

I went to South Bend yesterday, and went to advanced auto [where a '97 gtp owner and I had a good talk about the 3800s, and told him about club gp, and bonneville club] and picked up some of the engine cleaning stuff. That guy recommended putting it on my brake booster line, but with the TEVES brake system, that wasn't an option, and he said, to just put it in the PCV valve [just as the instructions stated].

I removed the PCV valve elbow, and put in about 4 [full size] straws worth of the engine cleaner. I then poured the rest in the oil [approx 3/4 can]. I waited 5 minutes like the instructions stated. Started up the car and there was so much smoke, I had to get out of the car, and get about 20 feet away. Let her idle till the smoke died down a little, and revved it up, and same thing happend, just so much smoke came out. Let the car idle for about 5 minutes, and there was still smoke.

I haven't driven the car yet, but I can pretty much garuntee that it made a HUGE difference, because I bet that stuff doesn't burn black in it'* natural state. I paid $11 for the two, and the transtune has already paid off, and the engine stuff, i'm sure will. I recommend this stuff to EVERYONE, old or new.

Okay, I've said my peace.

I did it 50% PCV 50% Oil. I had thick enough smoke to make my asthmatic self go inside to my inhaler and an air purifier...

Throttle response is greatly improved.

I told you that transtune was good stuff Now you're in a position to flush your trans and oil. Don't leave that stuff in there for too long. It wasn't meant to be left.

I guess.. maybe, just maybe.. you were right.

I'm flushing this week, or next weekend. Probably not going to go over 50 miles with it in there.

I just did the seafoam thing, but only got white smoke for about 5 minutes. :?: Just wondering if I did it wrong or was the system pretty clean? I tried to do exactly what was on the can, some in the PCV and fuel the rest in through a vacumn line.
