Hey everyone sorry i been out for so long im back now

But anyway i put Seafoam in the Fuel intake,i love this stuff seeing all the densesmoke pooring out knowing its cleaning all that junk out..when i was revving the gas while my friend was putting it in ..when my RPMs hit at 4 thousand it would bang bang (back fire sound) coming from he muffler hopefully the seafoam will eliminate that..

You heard it hit the rev limiter.

i like to pull the vaccum hose off of the brake booster and let it suck some into the vaccum system seems to make it idle smoother SeaFoam is great I use it in all my cars and my bikes its a great fuel stabalizer as well

Don't use the brake booster hose. Find a smaller vacuum line closer to the throttle body.

Why don't you use the brake booster? I have used it many times before.

The smaller vacuum lines allow the SeaFoam to be sucked up in a more controlled manner. The bigger the vacuum line the quicker it gets pulled in. IMO the quicker it goes in, the less contact it has with all the surfaces that could be benefit from it.

Hmm are you sure its the rev limiter? It'* only hitting 4 RPMS not even close to red lining,then again I don't know too much about car mechanics.

Yes it was the Rev Limiter. It is set at 4000 in Park under no load. And not a good thing to do. Taking any engine to 4000 RPM for more than a brief moment under no load is asking for trouble. When I was young, I found out the hard way and lost a nice 383 Mag. Rapping an engine out wont clean it any better than just taking it enough above an idle so its doesnt stall while putting a cleaner through it. If anything, start adding the cleaner, then flood the engine with it till it stalls and let it set, everything wet with the cleaner, for an hour or so and restart and finish adding.

Yea my dumb friend kept slamming the gas after the sea foam was in,hitting the rev limiter is a nasty noise,im like "dude stop stop" then he hits it again "its just back firing its cool" jeez, good thing it only hit like 3 times total.. i hope that'* not enough for damage?
