Default SE with an SC

Day 3 of Bonneville hunt.

I revisted a 97 SE with an SC at a local dealer (an almost blood relative). That first time i saw it, it was a total beater, beaten, beatedest in the context of it'* price. In fact, I stopped checking it over midstream, because my to-do list was getting 2 pages long.

Today, his attitude was considerably different, I think he would like to push it out on the highway and take it as a casualty loss.

Il looked around the BC and couldn't find any info on these models. I checked the RPOs and this is as is from the factory.

Does anybody know, if there were any inherent problems with loading an L67 (and i'* matching tranny) on an SE?

yes 97 was the last year that you get a SC in a SE body....The car is acutally a SLE.....(H4U option group)

the car should have a 'superchaged' badge on the trunk

the car also may have ELC and CCR

I can't see a ser 2 L67 as a beater. My car was severly abused beforeI bought it. It still looks good and drives like new. Well, the TC and ABS don't work.

Yes, it has supercharged on the trunk.

The ELC and CCR are mechanicals for the ride? I'll have to search to read up on which is what. There were no console buttons for ride, just the traction control and the 2 shifting patterns.

My guess it never saw a garage and was parked in a swamp. I had to call a NASA guy that owns a paint company in Melbourne. I would have to solve some major rust problems with metal treatment and welding.

edit: the finish is a disaster, but from some guidance I got from 95naSTA re: bodywork and auto painting, I think I can figure how to get by without having to sell a major internal organ.

How much are they looking for it. i believe there were under 400 SLE'* with the SC made in 97 (could be wrong, don't feel like double checking) might be a decent car once you got it all cleaned up.

ELC is Electronic Level Control, and CCR is Computer Command Ride....If there were no buttons then that means that id dosent have either....

depending on price, it would be a good catch....its is a car you dont see too often

As in my signature. Mine is the only SLE/SC with CCR, FE2, and ELC that we've seen on this forum. In other words, the only FULLY optioned SE/SLE so far. We worked up the numbers once, and found that the 40th SSEi was actually more common.
